Superduck

The Duck Avenger is making his first steps towards gaining an international audience.

One of his series has gotten an official translation, now being offered under the title ‘Superduck’ at Disney Digicomics, available in the US and the UK.

(Yes, his official name has been changed since we started translating. The poor duck just can’t seem to get a name to stick!)

The series in question was originally titled ‘PK:  Pikappa’, and was first published immediately after the series we know – Paperinik New Adventures – ended. It is a reboot of the whole series, with a number of changes to the mythology, some larger than others.

The series was aimed towards children to a higher degree than the original series, and didn’t win as much critical acclaim. But if DigiComics are available in your country, they’re definitely worth checking out.

Buying an issue also has the added bonus of letting the people at Disney know that there is a real interest in these characters, making it more likely that they’ll want to translate the original series – the one we know and love – as well.
