The Return

It's official, guys. The Duck Avenger is returning.

I'll just go ahead and quote forum user Lyla's brief translation:

"It basically says that De Poli announced it publicly during the Napoli Comicon. It'll apparently return through Topolino.
If there were still any doubts, now there aren't anymore."

Now, Topolino is of course a more standard Disney format than PKNA was, so who knows, we might not see the return of PKNA's epic-looking page lay-outs, but what we ARE likely to see the return of is a lot of the people who worked on PKNA and made it a thing we love.

So yes.

This is awesome.

If anybody has any more details, feel free to share them in the comments. Or just gush about the possibilities/share your dread about what they might do. Either way - this should be interesting!

  3. This is awesome! I hope they'll release copies of the new stories in English.

Also is anyone planning on translating the DoubleDuck comics? Or does anyone have any good scans of the comics? The ones on PKhack aren't that great...

    1. Well, good ol' Blotling's been providing me with decent DoubleDuck scans, and I might get to that.

First I'm trying to collect all the stories translated to my own language. Only missing one, though, and it should arrive in the mail any day.

  4. Also, I will add that we won't necessarily be seeing the new PK stuff in Topolino.

According to Tito Faraci, it's yet to be decided how the new series will be published, or some shit like that...

You'll have to tell me what you think of it. Also names...I haven't changed the names from the scans because...well I changed one at that name sucks, so I just left them as they were.

  6. Nice work above there.

And look here, the first 5 DoubleDuck stories are available in English on Comixology.

Guess they could be progressing with having those officially translated, last time I checked, they had yet to do "Mission Thermic Core".

  7. I know it has nothing to do with the Duck Avenger save for being an Italian Disney ducks story, but "Zio Paperone e l'ultima avventura" is such an important story to go untranslated, so could it be...?
    PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ?

    1. Well, better wait a bit anyway. It's a new story, not a classic and only a few months have passed since it's first publication. At this time only the Italians have read it.

  8. So I decided to go redo the first two issues I ever translated.

Because, let's be honest, I did a horrible job on them.

Now don't get me wrong, I still make mistakes, but these new ones are still a high number of times better!

Also, thanks to Asparagus32 for returning quite a while ago and adding some new scans.

    And then disappearing again.

  10. Just wanted to let you guys know your work is amazing. Still remember when I was sick with the flu and getting my first edition, Absolute Zero. At first I thought it was dumb that they tried to make a Marvel clone, but reading it changed my opinion in the first five pages.

So happy they translated them into Swedish back then so I could have the chance to read them, and it's a great shame that so many missed out on them by it not getting an English translation through official means.
