No proper update today, but there ARE some good news:
I've finally gotten around to fixing up the site, so the links now actually lead to something.
The removed pages are still gone - Disney's word is final in this case - but it's now a lot easier to navigate around the site.
And remember - the full issue download links were never removed. They're still available in the last post of each issue. So, you know... get them while they're hot!

ReplyDeleteAlso, I found another team that hade a translation project a while back. They didn't translate many issues(3), but they DID translate #13 and 14.

ReplyDeleteYou need to use a program like CDisplay to view it. It's by far the best way to read comics.
You could also just change the file extention from .cbr to .zip so you can unpackage all the images.
And seeing as those guys already did #13 and #14, i juust went ahead and translated #15.

I might, MIGHT, try to translate some issues myself. But I am curious to know, what textfont is used in the speech bubbles?
I'm glad to see that the translation project is not dead at all. Thank you a lot, people, who still translate. I wonder if some Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine translations will appear.
ReplyDeleteMan, Banker, that looks NICE. I've been feeling guilty about not getting back to this site for a while now, and seeing a fresh new translation was just great.
ReplyDeleteI've been neglecting both this site and my related email, partly because I'm currently stuck in school with very little free time, and not that much access to the internet.
If you feel like it, feel free to send me an email. With your permission, I can send your translations out through the nifty mailing list we made a while back, and which hasn't really been used since.
Might take me a few days to do it, considering my lack of internet, but even if I'm moving at a snail's pace, it'd still be great to get this site going again.

ReplyDelete... and if anyone's wondering, yes, I did start translating #16 a couple of months ago, but I ran into some pages where I just couldn't figure out what people meant with the words they used or what was going on in the scenes, so I just lost motivation. I don't know any Italian, I just make us of translator programs and my own common sense...

About #16's translation, I'm Italian and I too am trying to do it, with the intention of posting it, sooner or later. If someone wants to go through with this we could help each other.
