NEW COMICS! Old comics! NEW TRANSLATORS! (and some heartfelt apologies)

Okay, show of hands, how many of you thought I was long dead?

ANYWAY - Hi, guys, I am so sorry for abandoning you. I went from having tons of free time to almost none at all, and it also coincided with me moving country - so I was quite distracted, to put it mildly.

But as it turns out, people haven't stopped working, as anybody reading the enormous comment section on the last post knows. But for anybody else:

Since I left, old and new translators have translated new issues, and are currently up to issue #17. Issues #13 and #14 were translated long ago over at, so those are here too,

The links:

PKNA #12 - Second Draft
PKNA #13 - The Darkest Night
PKNA #14 - Carpe Diem
PKNA #15 - Camera/Action
PKNA #16 - Special Maintenance
PKNA #17 - Shooting Star

Just to make it clear: I can't take credit for any of this, neither as a translator or administrator. When I left, these awesome people just took over the reins. But what I can do to help, is to send this message out to the people who joined our short-lived mailing list. I want as many people as possible to know that translating is still happening.

As for the old comics, here's a handy list of download links:

What else... Well, I'd like to apologize for leaving once again. The new translators seem to be running the joint quite well, but if there's anything I can do to help, administration-wise, they're very welcome to write. And I promise I'll actually respond, as opposed to what I've been doing these last few months.
For all I know you guys have already got a system in place, but if you don't, I might be able to help organize multiple translators.

Oh, and in case anybody wants to know: The font we used for most of our translations back in the day is called Anime Ace. That seems to be the most frequently asked question on my email, so I just figured I'd throw that out there.

The mailing list thing I will do tomorrow. And, yes, I promise not to forget and disappear.

Thank you for your patience,
Lord Birch

  1. Well, as long as you put up the links to download in these posts...

Like #17 here, if you hadn't noticed.

  2. *Raises hand* :p

Yeah. Glad to see the megauploads are still there. Didn't find the one for #11 though. Guess it never got made.

Glad to see you had enough free time to make a post though. Cheers.

  3. In fact we were actually waiting for a new Reasle , anyway welcome back dude .. =P

btw can i ask for a favour ؟ could anyone make a mirror for those download list and upload it to another website (like mediafire maybe ? ) Specifically part 12 to 16 , cuz in my country the MegaUpload is blocked .. >.<"

If you do I will be grateful to you .. ^_^

    take care

  4. @banker
Ah, I meant to put that one up there too. Must've miscounted my links. I've fixed it now, though. Thanks. :-)

Oh yeah, I should actually make a download link for that one as well. I'll probably get around to that sometime this week.

Thanks for the welcome. :-) Mirrors are actually a good idea. I'll get around to the older ones later, but here are some MediaFire links for the new ones:

    PKNA #12 -
    PKNA #15 -
    PKNA #16 -
    PKNA #17 -

  5. I'm so happy that that people still take the time to translate these things.

I have thought about trying to translate some myself, but I'm afraid that it won't turn out any good...

I have some scans, but in Italian, and I don't speak it. Saw some comments about a guy who had all issues in Swedish, and that I can work with.

Well, maybe I'll try some day...

  6. I'm so glad you are back and many thanks to the other translators and everyone who helped!

  7. @ Anon:

Yeah. But not all, only the first saga. I'm still trying to complete the other two.

Also, I don't know how much of the content gets lost in translation when translated to swedish.

  8. The Swedish version takes a lot of liberties with the translating and plenty of times just makes stuff up. It still works well as a reference if I do end up stuck.

  9. hi ,

    @Lord Birch

thanks for uploading the files ^_^

btw : since the plan was to translated the first 15 issue for PKNA, now you will begin with (MM Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine) that was mentioned before : / ؟

cuz this series locks interesting .. :P

again thanks for what are you doing

  10. Yeah, these are great series. Original Italian scans are here (if somebody forgot)

I've managed to translate a few first pages of first issue, though I don't know Italian at all. ^^ Then I might be a little helpful with beginning if anybody would like to try translating.

  11. It's great to see this site being updated again.

I started two months ago to translate a few of these comics into German, beginning from issue 13 (up until issue 12, there were official translations).

If anyone is interested, I can provide the links here (I uploaded them to Megaupload and Rapidshare). Though I'm not absolutely positive that my translations are correct as my Italian is still very limited.

  12. I so love you guys for doing all this work! PKNA is my asbolute favourite comic book series and I was so sad when it got cancelled not only once, but twice here in Germany :/. Thanks to you, I'll be able to read further in the series. I hope you will get to translate all of PKNA :).
