The site is stitched back together.

No proper update today, but there ARE some good news:

I've finally gotten around to fixing up the site, so the links now actually lead to something.

The removed pages are still gone - Disney's word is final in this case - but it's now a lot easier to navigate around the site.

And remember - the full issue download links were never removed. They're still available in the last post of each issue. So, you know... get them while they're hot!

  2. Why do disney have a problem with it , when its unavailbe in so many countrys.

it's not like they are making any profit of pkna now anyway, and they still haven't published it yet in english. So what's the huge deal.

  3. So I take it all translations that were planned have been made now? If so, thanks for your work and for refreshing this classic from Disney's archives! If it wheren't for this page, I wouldn't have looked for the missing comics. My collection is close to complete now. :) Take care, Lord Birch. Tip of the hat to you.

  5. Really appreciate the work here. Hope we'll see more of it.

  6. You know, this blog is an inspiration for me. I've started to translate MMMM to polish, though i don't know italian at all. :)

  7. Same thing here. After having read this up until this point, I wanted more of it so badly that i went on to translate the next chapter to english.

There are some errors here and there, but if anyone's interested...

And I didn't include Angus Tales, I'm sorry to say...

  9. How the heck do you open this sort of file? I can't read #12...

Also, I found another team that hade a translation project a while back. They didn't translate many issues(3), but they DID translate #13 and 14.

  10. Hey, anonymous guy here.

You need to use a program like CDisplay to view it. It's by far the best way to read comics.

You could also just change the file extention from .cbr to .zip so you can unpackage all the images.

And seeing as those guys already did #13 and #14, i juust went ahead and translated #15.

    I'll upload it later.

  11. From now on, you shall all reffer to me as Banker.

    An here it is:

I didn't include all that extra stuff, because... I don't really care, and translating this took enough of my time.

  12. Hi, I'm the other anonymous guy.

I just managed to open the files Banker did, and it was not to shabby.

I might, MIGHT, try to translate some issues myself. But I am curious to know, what textfont is used in the speech bubbles?

  13. I'm glad to see that the translation project is not dead at all. Thank you a lot, people, who still translate. I wonder if some Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine translations will appear.

  14. Man, Banker, that looks NICE. I've been feeling guilty about not getting back to this site for a while now, and seeing a fresh new translation was just great.

I've been neglecting both this site and my related email, partly because I'm currently stuck in school with very little free time, and not that much access to the internet.

If you feel like it, feel free to send me an email. With your permission, I can send your translations out through the nifty mailing list we made a while back, and which hasn't really been used since.

Might take me a few days to do it, considering my lack of internet, but even if I'm moving at a snail's pace, it'd still be great to get this site going again.

  15. Men, thank you a lot, everybody. Now I have PKNA issues from 0 to 15. Amazing. Are there any chances to see MM Mystery Magazine translation?

  16. I just noticed that there was a page in #15 I didn't translate.

    ......... whoops.

  17. Hey, Lord Birch, nice to see you're still alive. :) Let me know if you need some help with translating Angus Tales again.

  18. Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone is still translating the series, I've read up to issue 15 and have fallen very hard for the series can somebody let me know what's going on.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anon: Hasn't happened much since may. I'd consider the page somewhat dead.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That is a shame. Thanks for getting back to me =D I don't suppose you would know where I can find an english translation of PKNA issue 16 and up?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think LordBirch is going to continue with the project. But keep checking in. Things might change pretty soon!

    ReplyDelete
  22. But, as you can see, there still are a few people who translate Paperinik by them own. So there is a hope...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, if you wanna keep on reading the series, one pretty much has to download the Italian issues and do some translating yourself...

... and if anyone's wondering, yes, I did start translating #16 a couple of months ago, but I ran into some pages where I just couldn't figure out what people meant with the words they used or what was going on in the scenes, so I just lost motivation. I don't know any Italian, I just make us of translator programs and my own common sense...

Though I'll be sure to upload if I ever get back to it.

  24. Banker: If you need help with translating, feel free to e-mail me. I have the entire first saga in swedish and can pherhaps give some advice on what it says. jal2001athotmaildotcom

  25. reloadfreeman:

Hey, guess what? I'm Norwegian, so I perfectly understand Swedish. If I could just know what it says in that language, it would be a big help :)

  26. About #16's translation, I'm Italian and I too am trying to do it, with the intention of posting it, sooner or later. If someone wants to go through with this we could help each other.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I just knew the project isn't dead at all. :)
I also may be useful because I have PKNA #35, 36 and 37 in my language, so I can help with translation. Also did anyone try to translate MM Mystery Magazine? I know I repeat myself, but the series are really worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Banker: Like I said. Feel free to contact me if you want some info. The aformentioned e-mail address also works for MSN if you preffer instant messaging.

  29. I'm finally done translating #16 (short story included), so here's the link, in all his mighty glory:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BJ69QD9O

@drapichrust & others: I might translate a couple of MM Mistery Magazine issues before continuing with the Duck Avenger. Either way it's gonna take me quite some time, so don't hold your breath.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, that's cool. Nice to see other people doing this too. Really good too.

... well, I'll soon be done with my version of #16, so I guess I'll just upload it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Heh, glad to see people still like the series enough to continue the translation where Birch left off.

Banker: Let me know if you need issue #17 in swedish.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @ reloadfreeman

Yeah, please have it ready. I think I'll just get started on #17 next right away.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ Banker:

Coming up. Also, could you reupload #15? It seems to be a broken link now.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @ reloadfreeman

You must be talking about the old link for #15 I posted. The new link is in another comment.

But ey, I'll just write it down here anyways.

  35. @ Banker:
Ah, sorry. I didn't notice that post. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah, so, here's #17!

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TNC7GK20

And no, I didn't translate all that extra information stuff. Fuck that.

So, I think I'm gonna do like a schedule where I start translating an issue every Friday, and then I'll get it finished within a week.

For as long as I can keep up.

Also, counting on you, reloadfreeman :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Banker:

    Sure. :)
Also, I seem to get an error where I can't download the file on megaupload. Have I missed something?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, I had uploaded it quite recently.

    Should be okay now.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ooh, new translations! Glad I decided to read the comments. Thanks you so much!
